Every aspect of Running is Important for Young Athletes: Acceleration, High-End Speed, Speed Maintenance, Deceleration, Arm Action, Relaxation, Back-Side Mechanics, etc, so We Teach as much as we can…
We use the Treadmill, with Mirrors*, so that the Athletes can See what they Look Like and (often) Enhance what the already do…
They tend to Relax more, Improve Knee Lift, and Enhance their Stride on the Treadmill, much faster than with Field Tempo Work…
We don’t do any Speed Development on the Treadmill, and don’t Love High Speed Treadmill Work…
Here we are Teaching:
On-Off Safety Precaution’s > some Athletes 1st Day
Arm-Action with Posture + Breathing
Knee Lift > Huge Deal as many are Tight (as a Mug!)
Fluidity/ Coordination over Time/Reps

We already do Ground-Based Running/Sprinting, but we have found, for our Athletes, that the Combination of Ground + Treadmill Running in Early Phases, gets us Better much Faster!
