You should ALWAYS Take Your Health and Fitness very Seriously and Take Sports as
Part of the Enjoyment Portion of Life.
Wellness = Serious
Sports = Fun
This applies to any Age, Ability and Attitude, and although there may be some
Crossover, there should be considered Separate Entities…
Your Health, from 9yrs to 90+, will be the Single Greatest Determining Factor in Quality
of Life for You, because without Health and all that it entails (Energy, Opportunity,
Care, Cost, etc) You have Nothing. Before you yell about Money, Love, Friendship or
Purpose (all Wonderful Endeavors), tell me which one Works Without Health, or at
least isn’t Improved with It?
Your Health gives You Everything, and Being Proactive is a much better Strategy than
Reacting to Stress… Your Health, now more than ever, is to be Valued from 10 to 100. There is no “Wait and See”, there is only “Go and Become”. Health Starts when You are Aware that it
Matters, are Aware of Your Family History, and Have Something to Live For >>> It
Starts Now (regardless of Age)…
You don’t have to be Perfect by any means, but You have to be Trying + Trending…
Trying + Trending means You are:
A) Aware
B) Giving Time + Energy
C) Moving (however Slowly) in the Right Direction
T+T is a Simple Formula that many do not Embrace…
T+T isn't “All or Nothing” or “Ill Get to It at some Point”…
T+T means You have a Plan to Do Well/Better and You Care about the Process…
Do You and Are You T+T?
Sports involve Exercise. Sports involve Activity. Sports can be a Great Way to Obtain
Exercise, but Sports should be Separate.
"Sports should be Fun" is something Everyone Says and Believes, but the
“Practice/Application” of that Mantra is Fickle…
1) Fun may be Different for everyone, but You Know It when you see it
2) Fun can lead to Activity, and that’s Awesome. But mostly, Fun should Lead to
more Fun
3) Imagine something that isn’t Fun. Do You want to Repeat It? Embrace It? How
did this (Insert Sport/Enjoyment Here) go from Fun to Not Fun? Keep Sports, and
Everything that goes with it: the Social Activity, the Emotional Benefit, the
Excitement and Pursuit of Improvement. Whatever makes Sports Great for You,
and Whatever Sport it is, Stay at It!
4) What replaced Sports for in your Life? What Stops You from Trying something
New? Sports can be Anything to Anyone, so Don’t Play the “too Old”, “too Stuck”
or “too Busy” Cards unless You are “too Happy” (Life can and will Get Better with
some “Sport”)
5) You aren’t Ever Too Old for to Participate, but You may Lack the Health
Necessary… There is Nothing Wrong with being a Fan, but You should have a
Passion that MOVES YOU (all Puns Intended)
Also, Full Disclosure:
Sport = Any Athletic Endeavor, Social Pastime, or Hobby with Tendencies
that You Can and Want to Embrace…
Sport = from Basketball to Bird Watching to Biking, from Golf to Disc Golf, to
Swimming to Sailing and from LARP to Lazy River Rafting, it ALL COUNTS!
Why does any of this Matter?
Because Consistency + Longevity Win!
Science and Common Sense converge on these points, and you Should as well!
The Path You are On can and should have plenty of Twists and Turns, but to Live Well
you Must Keep Walking…
Let’s Get Better!
